It's time to put your amazing poetry to work! You will enter a poem that you are particularly proud of in the Gwendolyn Brooks Youth Poetry Awards Contest. We will complete the forms in class, but here are the guidelines if you want to be thinking about your entry in advance:
1. You can submit only one entry. Be sure it's a piece of original work that you have revised, edited, and reviewed carefully.
2. Your poem cannot be longer than 16 lines.
3. The contest concludes on June 22, 2017.
4. Prizes include gift certificates, books, and public recognition of your work.
