practice and study every day
The best way to improve is through practice! The biggest achievers are those that practice everyday. Set a goal for how long you will practice what we have learned in class. A great place to start is 30 minutes everyday.

Ace your math facts
Passing your timed math facts takes practice. Here are some ideas about what you can do at home:
1.) Say your math facts to yourself. Repeat this 5 times for each fact.
2.) Write your math facts on a piece of loose leaf.
3.) Create flash cards by writing the problem on the front, and the answer on the back. Go through all the cards 5 times.
4.) Have a family member quiz you using your flash cards.
5.) The day before the test, time yourself while taking the test with your practice sheet. You can use a clock, microwave, oven timer, or cell phone to time yourself.
Try each one on a different day of the week!
